Former Super Bowl Champ Wright Re-Signs with Blackhawks

Manny Wirght

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 11, 2013) — A few years out from playing in the Super Bowl and a year from winning the National Championship with the Inglewood Blackhawks, LCFL First Team Defensive Player, Manny Wright resigned with the Blackhawks through the 2014 season. Manny was a monster last year doing everything from the defensive side of the ball from sacks to tackles, to intercepttions. Wright was one of the most versatile and hardest defensive lineman to take on in his first year with the Blackhawks. Manny and his defensive partners ranked the Blackhawks defense #1 in the nation in 2012 and look to duplicate the same in 2013. Adding defensive end Mark Anderson to the mix with Brandon Souder, Marlon Brisco, and Marcus Kelley, the Blackhawks will by far have the fastest ends in the game. “I’m pumped up about this season” stated Wright. Last year was my first year and now I know that week in and week out teams will game plan to double and triple team me like they did in 2012. I got a surprise for them this year.
